The hotel is situated in the remote location in a scenic area. All of the property's staff are very attentive and lively. The room is large and there are stunningly beautiful views of the valley...

This exceptionally comfortable hotel is based in a beautiful building and has a refurbished restaurant. The rooms are well heated and brilliant with a terrace and a terrific shower, as example. The location is marvellous and brilliant in a beautiful area, right by a beautiful valley and a forest and the restaurant. And it's by River Aherlow.

We were a group of 6 friends and we were able to stay in one cabin and enjoy the mountains. Make sure you ask for one of the cabins that are not facing the road and the other cabins so you just have a view of the hills. Spectacular!
They need to update their kitchen pans. One frying pan that was unusable and no serving dishes. Had just enough forks for the 6 of us to eat so if you want another fork to serve you are out of luck.

The staff were amazing! So helpful and friendly - going above and beyond expectations. The food was excellent and good value. Great location - set in the forest with lots of nature walks right outside the front door.
The room was rather small and dark and needed updating.

The hotel staff (and owner) were absolutely wonderful and accomodating. The lodges where we stayed were beyond excellent and I would recommend to anyone traveling to central Ireland with a group or family. We were even treated to some personal hospitality by the owner. This is a must stay if you travel to or through central Ireland in my opinion. Hope we get to go back and do some mountain walking in the area.
The hotel was excellent for a family trip. The flexibility and privacy of teh rooms made it easy for my wife and I to enjoy our stay...even with three kids and Grandma.

The hotel is located in the middle of a nice forest with a direct view on small montains. The hotel itself has a friendly old style flair, the room furniture were also in old style but authentic. Very good breakfast with service at the table (not the usual buffets).
Quite basic bathrooms.
